American Industrial Contractors was founded in 1987 as a commercial HVAC contractor serving the greater Greensboro area. Founded by Philip Lucado and focused on delivering a high level of customer service paired with expertise as general contractors, we quickly expanded our service area to include the Carolinas and Virginia.

The building industry, and HVAC and controls in particular, have changed considerably over our three-plus decades in business. We've continued to grow our team, facilities, and capabilities so that we can continue to deliver the latest technology and outstanding service to our client base.

David Parrish

President

David joined American Industrial Contractors in 2023. As part of the New Page Capital companies, David also serves as President of Engineered Steel. Prior to joining New Page, he managed organizations over $600 million and over 3,000 employees. He has successfully managed small to mid-sized organizations for the past 15+ years in both Virginia and North Carolina, focusing on internal operating efficiencies, construction projects, and facility maintenance. Earlier in his career, David has also worked in numerous industrial and commercial settings as employment specialist training employees of all ability levels. David obtained his undergraduate degree from UNC-Greensboro and his graduate degree from UNC-Chapel Hill.

Steve Stone

Project Manager

Steve has been working in the HVAC world for 40 years, serving in a multitude of roles. Steve has been with American Industrial for over 25 years and has managed many of the largest projects in the company's history. In addition to being a project manager, Steve is also responsible for managing our piping division. Steve has been married for 35 years and enjoys spending time with his adult children and two grandchildren.

Tommy Oliver

VP Customer Service

Tommy has been head of American Industrial's service division for nearly 20 years. Prior to joining the American Industrial team, Tommy was with HG Strickland where he primarily worked at an AT&T facility as a plant facilities supervisor. Prior to HG, Tommy was a service technician for both Honeywell and Diversified Control Systems. Tommy understands what customers need from a service standpoint and trains all of his technicians to ensure that they deliver the best quality service for American Industrial's customers.

Larry Clagett

Vice President/Project Manager

Larry has over 30 years in the HVAC industry in estimating, project management, installation, and service. He has a heating contracting license group H-2 and H-3 in the state of North Carolina. Larry has been with American Industrial for over a decade working with both end users and general contractors on their HVAC needs. Larry graduated from High Point University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He enjoys spending time with his wife of 30 years, his three children, and eleven grandchildren.
